Welcome to the Third Spanish Fluid Mechanics Conference!

Date: June 25-27, 2025

Opening Ceremony: June 24, 2025

Welcome to the official website of the Third Spanish Fluid Mechanics Conference! Following the success of the previous editions in Cádiz and Barcelona, we are excited to bring this prestigious event to the beautiful city of Málaga.

The primary goal of the conference is to advance and disseminate knowledge in all areas of Fluid Mechanics. It aims to foster interaction and collaboration among researchers at all levels, creating a vibrant and dynamic environment for intellectual exchange.

Audience

The conference is open to students, postdoctoral researchers, university faculty, and researchers from government and industry, both nationally and internationally. We invite presentations on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to the following

  • Active Matter
  • Aerodynamics
  • Aerosols and Suspensions
  • Biological Fluid Dynamics
  • Bubbles and Drop Impact
  • Combustion
  • Compressible flows
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics
  • Convection and Buoyancy-Driven Flows
  • Drops: Formation and Evaporation
  • Environmental Flows
  • Flow Instabilities
  • Fluid Dynamics Education and Outreach
  • Fluid-Structure Interaction
  • Heat Transfer and Heat Flows
  • Industrial Applications
  • Multiphase and Free Surface Flows
  • Machine Learning
  • Microscale and Nanoscale Flows
  • Plasma Flows
  • Rheology
  • Theoretical and Mathematical Modelling
  • Thin Films and Coating Flows
  • Turbulence
  • Vortex Dynamics and Vortex Flows

Program

The conference will feature:

  • Invited Talks: Four sessions, each lasting 40 minutes
  • Oral Presentations: Approximately 120 presentations, each 15 minutes long, organized into three parallel sessions
  • Poster Sessions
  • Social Events: Welcome Reception, Gala Dinner, Coffee Breaks, Networking Luncheons and Awards Ceremony.

Venue

The conference will be held at the Diocesan House (Casa Diocesana) in Málaga, a privileged location that offers both a professional and comfortable setting. This venue not only hosts the conference but also provides accommodation for most attendees at competitive rates, in line with the budget constraints of research projects. Breakfasts and lunches will be served on-site, maximizing the time available for networking and interactions among participants.
